Time to Upgrade! New Combined Disc & Belt Sander Review

New on YouTube: Axminster Craft AC200BDS Combined Belt & Disc Sander Review

This week I posted an unboxing and initial thoughts video. After almost 12 months with a small Parkside Disc sander I’ve finally taken the plunge and upgraded to larger bench mounted sander with a 200mm disc. Having looked at machines from Jet, Record Power and Draper, I ended-up deciding on a brand new machine from Axminster Tools and Machinery.

The AC200BDS was featured in their catalogue last November and has become available this spring. At £179 in the UK and featuring a powerful 550W induction motor, this machine looks very capable and I’m hoping will work well in the workshop.

In this video I unbox a brand new Axminster Craft AC200BDS Combined Belt and Disc Sander, put it together and share with you some initial thoughts. The sander has a 200mm disc which is much more professional and it is combined with a 100mm belt sander which can be positioned horizontally, vertically or at an angle as you will see in the video.
