Let me reveal some of the behind the scene secrets of running several successful online stores.
I dispatch most of the orders from The Strawbyte Workshop online store and Etsy sites from inventory. This is important as it allows me to manufacture stock in the most efficient way possible. It also has a benefit to the customer as orders will inevitably dispatch faster.
I move my entire shipping operation twice a year to Cornwall, UK which is over 450 miles away from the workshop. This allows from some down-time from making, and it’s where I shift my focus on to business admin tasks, website improvements and product development. And when I say move I actually mean loading all the stock into the car, printers and laptop, and 4 hours later set-up in the corner of our apartment in Mevagissy.
This is a brief insight into my recent visit to Cornwall where every morning I pick-and-pack orders for customers all around the world.
